Eskate was produced as part of Talent Studio, a national filmmaking project created and run by young people. Talent Studio is managed by Catch22 in partnership with Media Trust and Fairbridge.
The group has been trained in filmmaking by a dedicated professional media trainer and supported by a volunteer from the media industry. The young people also worked towards and achieved an accredited qualification, The Bronze Arts Award.
'Eskate' is an upbeat film demonstrating that sometimes even when you're at your lowest ebb, fate throws you a lifeline - or in this case a skateboard. A homeless man, Tom, discovers a discarded skateboard in a backstreet alley. The skateboard takes him back to his youth and happier times for one eventful day.
