@Darren50001 Hi. This is not from the 70s. Will Lee, who played Mr. Hooper died in late 1982. So up till 1982, you saw Mr. Hooper. BUT, they didn't explain that Mr. Hooper died until late 1983.
What I really love about these old episodes is you really get that "stage performance" atmosphere. I don't know if they filmed in front of a live audience or what have you - but this feels like a stage play, not a TV show. I think that's an important distinction that needs to be made, and is mostly what made this show so powerful and captivating for not just kids but parents too.
