Sonic 2 on the iPhone 4 (boss theme) - Rusty Cage

For this video, I downloaded three free applications from itunes. The drum machine app in the top left is called Easybeats LE, the synth app is called Nlog, and the turntable app is called Baby Scratch. I recorded all the parts and dubbed them over to play the Boss theme from sonic the hedgehog 2.

With the NLog synth, I was very surprised to find that it was free. It allows you to choose between about 40 different synth sounds, and manipulate the cut off, attack, dry/wet levels, and release of each effect. It also has a pitch and modulation wheel.

Easy Beats has a great interface with some okay sounds, given its the free version. I might spend a few bucks to download the pro version and get those sounds.

Baby Scratch is a pretty fun app! it gives you a lot of stock sounds that you can scratch with as well as music to scratch to. The scratching is very easy to do (easier than in real life), but the coolest part is that it allows you to record yourself say something and then you can scratch that as well.

@deadendguitarist idk, this app seemed to be pretty responsive, though i did mess up and hit the wrong notes a lot. i just did it many times until i got it right
