Super Mario Galaxy 2: Flip-Flopping in Flipsville

Super Mario Galaxy 2: World 4 - Flipsville Galaxy - Flip-Flopping in Flipsville (with post commentary)

In this video we head to a new and very... interesting galaxy. Throughout the level and the boss fight you'll be groundpounding the grates to access the underside of the platforms, and to also kill the new enemy, Pupdozer.

In one corner you'll find a teleporter that leads to the bonus area with 3 1-Ups. Directly below the teleporter, on the bottom side, is the Comet Medal. Walk under it and perform a careful jump to get it.

Be sure to avoid the Chomps, you can't kill them using this grate groundpound method. You can grab the Life Mushroom near them, but don't hang out in the hole!

In the next area, flip through the gates to get to the underside of the first moving platform. On each platform you'll have to flip a gate to either avoid spikes or an obstacle. It's a bit mind-bending, but the jumps aren't too difficult. Just don't make the same mistake I did! Access the launch star on the far platform to zoom over to a checkpoint flag and a Luma shop where you can prepare for the boss.

~~Boss: Glamdozer~~
Flip to the underside of the boss area and hit Glamdozer with a ground pound through the central gate. This should get her attention! Return to the underside of the platform and try to hit her again.

She'll begin firing lava fire balls at you which you'll need to avoid. If she isn't standing over a gate, stand on the nearest gate she's facing and she should move onto it after she fires. You are safe on the underside, so don't risk going topside until you are ready to nail Glamdozer in the belly. Three hits will end the fight. Head back to the top side to grab your Power Star!

I actually loved this boss fight, probably because It only took me 30 seconds (yes, I did count) :-D I pretty much suck at boss fights, but this one was really easy for me... yaaay.... LOL! good job with this mission :-)

This boss took me awhile too and would again if I replayed it, which is unusual, mainly bc I really couldn't figure it's strategy. I've seen ppl do this fast on YT but it seems more about being in right place at right time than actual skill or strategy

Oh man, I had so much trouble with Glamdozer. Apparently you have to go under her while she's shooting out fireballs? I dunno, i might try it out.

That's weird... I actually don't remember glamdozer to be able to shoot fireballs...

And that's why it was much easier for me.

However, i do doubt that the princess would have squashed me flat if she had fireballs. When Mario gets hit by fire he yelps and gets all hard to control, and it gets really annoying.

Anyway, great vid., keep up the good work! You are hilarious
