Just enjoy your skin and be thankfull you dont have a disfiguring skin disease. You can be black as night or white as a sheet and i bet a person with a skin disease would gladly trade places with you.

@menelmacariel White people are not blamed for the whole skin lightening issue. Who said that white people were at fault? Asian cultures are much more likely to promote the skin lightening phenomenon. It has nothing to do with white people but everything to do with traditional Asian notions of nobility. When white teens tan are they trying to be black? No, they're trying to look like they have the money to vacation in the sun everyday. Different culture, different ideas about status.
