Trelawnyd is a sleepy little farming village in Flintshire, North East Wales. The choir was formed in 1933 by the then village schoolmaster, William Humphreys. Since then the choir has been in continuous existence. It has won first prize on six occasions at the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales and on one occasion the Eire International Festival Cork. They have appeared frequently on television, performed at the Royal Albert Hall and toured Europe, Canada and the USA.
Welsh or not this is a most wonderful performance, full of feeling with the typical Welsh soul for song. Thus speaks a "Franglish" man. Well done boys!

What a wonderful sound! Reminds me of home alright as I'm from that area of Wales- born in St. Asaph and lived in Tremeirchion. God bless you gentlemen.

this is an absolutely beautiful rendition. We went to Venue Cymru in Llandudno to listen to the winners of the Eisteddffod. It was unforgettable. I believe people should celebrate their own culture to the full. The Welsh people do this. Thank you so much.
