What inspired you to make this?
More like "who" inspired me to make this. I was requested by my dear friend Pat to make a music video for "Windy" by The Association. My name is Wendy and I'm pretty cheerful. This song reminds him of me. I would hope to make people smile whenever they see this.

How long did it take for you to make this?
A lot of time went into this. Late nights and crazy hours of the morning. I worked on this for approximately 24 hours over a span of 3 days, from March 24th to March 27th.

Who is Windy?
To me, it sounds like Windy is a lovely, cheerful person.

Who's bending down to give us a rainbow?
I wanted the lyrics to make sense. What does it mean when it says "Who's bending down to give me a rainbow?". I think it means she enjoys gardening. Making multi-colored flowers flourish is definitely a way to give us a rainbow. So, in the video she is wearing a striped, rainbow-colored mini dress and bending down to water a rainbow of flowers.

Stormy eyes that flash at the sound of lies?
Oh, Windy hates lies. So much, in fact, that her sea green/blue eyes literally flash white with anger. She isn't at all afraid to confront the liar.

Wings to fly above the clouds?
Whenever bad things happen, Windy moves past it and makes her life better. She lifts herself up above the issue and find greater happiness. She won't let anything get her down!

Why does Windy look different throughout the vid?
Windy loves to play dress-up! That's why! You will see her with many different clothing, makeup, and hairstyles. This video is supposed to be fun and I think it reflects well with her looks.

What can you tell me about Windy's lover?
He could be anybody! I gave him an exotic, mysterious look for this reason.

Why do Windy and her lover fight?
Maybe he doesn't feel that he is good enough for her. That and she is passionate.

What did you use to make this?
I used The Insimenator (Ultimate Sims 2 hack. Google it and download it.), Windows Movie Maker (It comes with most PC's and I used it to cut clips and add music.), and custom content (I mainly downloaded from ModTheSims2, XMSims, All About Style, Peggy Sims 2, and Noukie Sims.)

Did you throw out any original concepts?
Definitely. At one point, I was thinking of making Windy a prostitute of all things! She walks down the streets of the city a lot and is likely smiling at potential clients, if you ask me! And bending down to give you a rainbow? Doesn't that sound naughty! That was one idea. Another thing I was going to have in the video was domestic violence. Showing her lover slapping her and then her beating him up. And then it ending happily? No way! I didn't want to promote the ideas of prostitution or staying in an abusive relationship. Besides, this was supposed to be cheerful. I might do a version of that if you ask me, though it'd be a bit controversial.

Why don't the words match up at the end?
I wanted to show her enjoying life. Gardening and spending time with her husband and twins (a boy and a girl!). That and The Association just sings the verses over and over again and it'd be more work to film more of her walking about the city, don't cha think? I do feel kind of bad about not adding more of her walking around in various outfits.

How do you intend to improve in upcoming videos?
No more lag! That's definitely up there on the list. That and maybe creating a story board so that I will know what camera angles I want and the like. I'm pretty sure that will cut down on the time it takes to make these videos.

The sites I downloaded them from are listed. The tight, strapless, striped mini dresses can be downloaded on the ModtheSims2 site. Do a search for "Striped mini dresses by JB".

The song is about a drug dealer (acid guru) that talked so much he was called "Windy". "Who's bending down to give me a rainbow?" is a ceremonious reference involving acid. "Who's tripping down the streets of the city?", should be obvious to those that know that being high on acid was called a "trip". The composer is Ruthann Friedman, and probably originally wrote "he" as opposed to "she". Obviously the band could not sing "he". I learned this from a very reliable source.
