Welcome to the Houses of Hope Yoga-thon to be held in East Meadow in Central Park on October 10th at 7:30am.
We will be doing 108 sun salutations to support the Tasaru Ntomonok Initiative, an organization that works to end female genital mutilation (FGM) within Africa. The organization is run by Agnes Pareyio, a Maasai woman, who has been working to end FGM for over a decade through awareness, education, and safe harbor for girls seeking to forgo this practice, also associated with early childhood marriage, and instead pursue an education and her lifes goals.
