In January of 2007, Peachtree & Ward Catering teamed with 125 high school students from Martin Luther King High School, and other local schools to prepare and entire meal for 1500 people in need. We worked at MLK High to make over 100 apple pies, and in the Peachtree commissary to prepare a chicken dinner with roasted potatoes, collard greens, and a dessert of sweet potato pies. The time spent working was documented by local filmmaker, Andre Karlsruher. The documentary includes interviews with Peachtree owner Jon Weinrott, his son Sam, and some of the students involved with the project.
This is a wonderful thing not only for the volunteers but for the families it is providing for! It also shows the true kindness of Peachtree & Ward!

Nice vid! Imperfections make my work special, too. (I'm an engineer.)

What a great story! Loved the kid wiping the tears from his eyes while cutting the onions.
