At the time of purchase, I didnt know what the issue was, then was advised its a practise that goes on overseas, its basically a beatification progress as they try and make them 'heart shaped', whilst its not allowed in this Country, it is in certain areas.

Sad really as many do not make it through the process and if I had known I wouldnt have bought it.

Is that a Birchir Eel in there? I saw one of them for sale in my nearest aquatics shop the end of last year and wondered what the heck they were!

They look like something out of the Triassic peroid...

Hi I had two birchir senegals albeit one died a few months back. I also have a 3ft fire eel and a 1ft tyre track eel...all are great and I would buy again...they are great!

Nice aquarium! I Very colorful! and the fish look happy! I myself want to make a large marine style tank as well, but I only have enough space for a small one. Check mine out when you have the time. I'd like your input.

As I tell people all the time, I would love a marine tank, however do not have the time to look after one. Therefore, this is the best option for me. Some do not like it, others do, me personally think the water is the best 'gin quality' due to massive over filtering, and they are fed well also....happy fishes.

thanks - i have an updated vid in my profile somewhere, few changes but looks the same almost - the fire eel is now just over 2.5ft long! pretty cool really, and the clowns are also getting bigger

Wata hill, you can mix tropical fish with cichlid, cuz I went to lotta pet places and they told "you can't mix tropical with cichlid". They say "cichlid are too aggressive". Do it work with you.
