It's the TRUTH!

Further, this is only country I ever saw people just go to have a meal at IKEA.
It is quite shocking truth and it is telling how local is missing the standard of living considering how many highly paid individuals are exist here.
I am expat and living in Condo when I go to HDB to friends house I do really feel sorry. I never had this feeling in other country since local usually have BETTER house condition than short stay expats.
I hate this difference and it is wrong.

And I think this is very sad to watch every single day.
For example, many developed country has
FREE Toy library for each community
FREE extensive play ground which you will pay here on half or less size
FREE children's play house and study/education building for each community which they charge hours in this country
Volunteer/Government == FREE based childcare for community for busy family FREE community bus for elderly
FREE medical for 0-15 years old and elders etc...

I did not make comments in a single perspectives. I have many Singaporean friends and I also talk and monitor how maid, taxi drivers, security guards, cleaners, construction workers, teachers and those non elites worker are treated. I see many discrimination, irresponsible and dis respectable situation many times which I never seen in other countries. I think this discrimination or value are implemented by government and people are just obey very quietly and struggling life.

@rutilequartzlight Furthermore, our gov. have to help Singapore as a whole, which means taking into consideration the needs of the bulk of the middle class people to tide over the financial crisis, and we have successfully reduce the unemployment rate! We ARE giving back to the poor, so don't just see Singapore in a single perspective, pls consider the various factor the gov have to juggle before making judgement!
-
@rutilequartzlight Besides, of course it doesn't work when you compared the highest spectrum with the lowest, because generally the world's economic system is wired in such a way that those who contributed more, earn more! Not just Singapore!
-
@rutilequartzlight Despite all that is said, it is a known fact that poverty can never be totally eradicated, although we can strive to work towards that goal. Do you seriously think that it is just a simple matter of taking the money from the top and just blindly distributed to the bottom? That's the communism idea, and we consider ourselves to be semi- democratic society, so that can't be done! Of course there are also donation and stuffs, but to govern a country takes more than that!

thks for posting the video.i am a singaporean and you can never see this type of scenes in our state controlled media.this is so true of our situation in my country and i hope this dictator called lee kuan yew stop his heartless policy.

I am not Singaporean but I have seen it and it is terrible.
This is one of the worst elite/money based society in the world with no freedom for local/poor people. Government control soooo much and some of my friend said "it is hidden n.korea".
Give back money to locals and community!!!!!
World is watching YOU!!!

Even though his LHL pay is exaggerated, 10k per day is over-exaggerating his exaggerated pay

no matter what your views you want this video to present. You should not have misrepresented the flag in an upside down manner. this is unacceptable.
