@cbartlett800 Don't get bent out of shape. He's not referring to guys like you.

@cadmus98 Thanks for the reply. I ask because I have Asperger's Syndrome and recognized some aspects of myself in Mark's message.
-
@Samalamalamdam No, because in that case the person is a victim of a physical disability. In the same way, you don't call a man bedridden with a disease "lazy." In those cases it's not an issue of lack of virtue. I have a brother who is autistic -- he is not simply a lazy coward, but disabled.
-
@cbartlett800 OK, but you're not a stay-at-home dad because you are trying to avoid work, or are trying to leech of your partner, or so on? I think that's what Mr Driscoll was getting at.
-
@abbeyism No.
Mark said, "He'll come up with dumb ideas, like, 'I'll be the stay-at-home dad'"
When used as a way to shirk responsibility or avoid having to work, or in order to be a leech, then it's a dumb idea.

Is sitting across the table from a heretic and calling him a brother make you a coward. Mark Driscoll is a coward in a sense that makes "Larry" look like a super hero
-
Mark, do you consider your wife to be lazy because she is a stay at home mom? Or do you just think that women are not fit to be in the work place?
-
Stay at home dad here, and I have to just say one thing, this guy is a douchbag. I raise my kid and hold down a full time job from home. And if I did not work, that would be ok as well, since raising a kid is and should be a full time job in and of itself!
-
@abbeyism I don't think he's heard of the term "home business" or "work from home" or "my wife's job pays more than mine".
Did this idiot just say "dumb ideas like stay at home dads" word for word?
