This True HD 1080p video is much like the last one, not so much a reshoot of an existing standard definition (SD) video but rather shows a train that I typically run on my layout that I've not shown in a video before except in an overall layout video. The train is running on my number 3 track (O-42 diameter) and has two MTH Premier steam locomotives running together. Pulling in front is the PRR L1 Mikado and at the rear in pusher service is the PRR B28 0-6-0 switcher. The two locomotives are lashed-up using the DCS system that synchronizes their operation. Between them is a long string of older AtlasO 36' woodsided reefers. Without the pusher locomotive, a train of this length and weight stringlines every time on the O-42 curves. With it, as you can see, it runs flawlessly. I've slowed the train down so that you can get a better look at the decoration of the reefers. Enjoy!

  • I'm limited by the presence of other track-activated accessories and the presence of turnouts.

  • The HD videos are shot with my new Canon Vixia HF S21. I'm now shooting in 24 fps native progressive mode.

  • You ought to move your track isolators back a track on both sides for sooner affect on the front side and a later response on the back side with your crossing gates and flashers

  • You always have the best trains....I would love to have something to record my trains with.

  • ToyTrains...I enjoy your videos but can I suggest having new consists and shaking up the rolling stock? For example box cars, tank cars, hoppers, etc..

    Keep up the good work!

  • Beautiful engines! Just wondering, what type of camera are you using? Video quality is great....
