Beneath the Pyramids of Giza lies a natural cave system lost for nearly 200 years. It was rediscovered on March 3rd, 2008, by a team headed by writer and explorer Andrew Collins, working with Egyptological researcher Nigel Skinner-Simpson and British engineer Rodney Hale. The cave system is natural and was last known to have been explored to any depth by British explorer and diplomat Henry Salt and Italian explorer Giovanni Caviglia in 1817. They never published any details of their discoveries. It is now believed that the caves might follow the course of local faulting, and head in the direction of the Second Pyramid, the site of the legendary Tomb of Hermes. For more information go to www.andrewcollins.com and read the full story in Andrew Collins's book BENEATH THE PYRAMIDS (4th Dimension Press, 2009).

  • Problem is: Zahi Hawass. His name crops up everywhere and usually to prevent an idea gaining credit (at least an idea that isn't one of his own!) - especially anything even remotely esoteric that doesn't follow traditional egyptian history as he was taught it as a boy!

  • You have to consider the circumstances it was filmed under. I don't think proper lighting equipment and a tripod were an option!

  • We need to investigate all this fast now as well, before the Muslim extremists decide to blow it all up like the tragic Buddhas of Banyan.

Then again, Eqyptians are SO rightfully proud of their epic ancient ancestors, that I think if the Muslims DID destroy ANYTHING, that would be the end of them as a political force.

    I really really hope so......

  • what is this Hawass guys problem? Hes obviously passionate about the incredible legacy of the ancient Egyptians, so why is he always refusing access to international experts with better technology and theories than the 200 year (or more) theories concerning the nature of these amazing buildings?

Sure there are a lot of nuts, but Hawass refuses REAL experts too (new york museum, Oxford University etc) as all the while these places are ruined by treasure hunters. Maybe he sells stuff he finds?

  • thats so creepy....!!

  • Herodotus, Crantor and Lamblichus-ancient historians of their day, have also described and alluded to these underground worlds in their writings. With Hawass in jail, hopefully Collins or someone else will be able to renew a search.

  • @patroller4u haha menn who ever can solve the mysterie of the pyramids is outstanding. I would be afraid of boobytraps but out of that it is dark in there is no light. You could lost in there ! creepy stuff indeed.

  • @Wrestlelesson

Unbelievable, I'd not go into that cave, they couldn't reach the end ? Creepy......

  • @patroller4u They Never reached the END O_O

  • Andrew Collins- You should have kept quiet about this! You could easily have gotten some friends, oxygen bottles and protective suits and lights and came back to film it for the world yourself! I bet you kick yourself in the ass for that especially now that Hawass was removed and is in jail.

  • @mattnedgus Yes very true. Zahi Hawass also tried to stop the digging at the Bosnian Pyramids by asking the European Union of Archeologists to interfere, he also at first denied their existence. Remember the establishment always tells on itself, clues. Now we know who Zahi is really in league with. Bosnian Pyramids were discovered by Semir Osmanagich in 2008? Check the YouTube vids for it.

  • Good info. I love the song
