Can you do this with a Lime tree? When you make the cut, do you cut on the brown or on the green?

I have managed to do this with many trees and shrubs b4 but have not been able to do it with a Japanese Acer is it possible to do this with an Acer do you know ?.... Any information would much appreciated thanks ....... excuse the pun but im a budding young gardener and have had success with most cuttings I have done but just cant seem to get an Acer to grow ...... please help or if possible direct me to someone who can help

@Ponthel lol. I did but Molly (my Cat) doesnt like Catnip! First Cat I know that doesnt. Every other Cat in the neighborhood comes over since I planter so much catnip!

I'm wondering if this will work on Bittersweet Nightshade. There's a beautiful plant of it growing near my home in the community garden, and the government is planning to utterly destroy it just because it's venomous - but it's so incredibly beautiful!

@CandyCrayon91 Yes it should work! If you have Cats or Dogs I would put a wire cage around it so no animals wil get poisoned. Good luck!

I want to try this with my arbutus Marina tree, should I keep it indoors?

@choneythief I would keep it outside just make sure it gets enough water during this heat wave.
