The X10 really is among the perfect units for augmented reality and these kind of location based services. Slim, light, portable and....programmable !! The pioneers(MIT Steve Mann, et al) lugged around backpacks with large computers and cameras in their baseball caps in the late 90's. Now you see the result, ready for consumers ! BTW check out cool stuff such as Comm.unity at the MIT Media Lab site.

@aaljuma I can confirm that X10 has a compass. This is valid for all Android phones, just as majdijr says. There should come and updated spec soon. However, it will probably be after the holidays.

If you go to see the spec on of the phone on the sony erisson website... it does not show.. or say it has a digital compass..
