i just brought an arepro control harness but im not sure how to tell if my head unit is steering control ready it says on the box steering remote ready is that the same thing ?

@AmikOner Sorry for the late reply. I have been in china and unfortunately You tube is Blocked there. a unit with "Steering Remote Ready" is what you need. that will work with the Controll harness system.
Just make sure you buy the correct patch lead to suit your head unit.
cheers

Nice video.. I have a JVC kw-avx740 head unit, and there is nowhere for me to plug in the steering wheel harness plug. I saw on another video they had the female port with a wire that they just attached to another wire on the head unit. Can I do this with an aerpro harness? If so, which wire??

@jessiemay429 If you the Infra red Remote control for the unit you can get a steering wheel adaptor that converts steering wheel commands into infra red codes. ( It learns from your IR Remote)
The product is not plug and play but relatively simple to wire up. The Aerpro part number is APUIR.

They are AVAILABLE from Automotive retailers like Autobarn, Super Cheap and Repco. they are also available form JB Hi fi and independent Car Audio retailers. However, they do not all have them as a stocked line yet and are in many cases ordered in by request. Most Autobarn stores (Not All) carry the most common cars and their staff are the most familiar with the system at this point in time. Remember, This system is plug and play and is specific to each car as a solution.

it is not PAC or Metra. There are no delays in 99% of cases.
What type of car do you have? I will see if we have one that suits.
