During training , he use to attemps 6.50 m high, just to get used to "throw" his feets that high. It is supposed to make him strongger mentally, in order not to be afraid of high bars.

Proof for us shorter athletes!, you dont have to be tall to be a great polevaulter! 6M vaulters dont all seem to be the taller athletes. Mostly the faster athletes that jump at take off. Some of the taller 6M vaulters also jumped at take off except for Tim Mack. The speed and gymnastic ability is a much greater factor. Tall guys jump higher with less speed. But in the end faster and better technique will win, It just means anyone can jump high! Thats what's great about pole vaulting.!

He's still on 5.10m poles I'm guessing..he's gripping in the same general spots he did on some of his other videos, 5.10 14.1 poles i believe.

Were his standards seriously at 80?
did he get a new personal best at this meet before it was 6.01m was it not?

@kuyshina Renaud made 5.91m on a 3rd attempt and immediately raised the bar to 6.03m which he made on his 1ST attempt .. amazing night !
