Some of these people that you call "hippis" are actually Mohammad loving Muslims, who know the Koran well, and are deeply versed in Islam. A few have even made the Haaj. So please stop peppering this site with your "there is no Sufism without Islam" comments. Many of the Sufis in this video are connected with Hazrat Inayat Khan and the Sufi orders that grew out of his life and inspiration.

Inayat Khan wanted his students to be well versed in all religions, and above all ~ the religion of the HEART. He did not require his mureeds to be Muslim. Many Beloveds are Sufis...but do not necessarily practice Islam...it is true that Sufism has developed superbly within the protection and inspiration if Islam. There is a wide diversity of practice and belief of the Sufis...they have become an inspiration themselves.
