A Magic Johnson's Starbuck's is robbed twice in eight days and it does not make the news because the media (Indianapolis Star) is protecting Mayor Greg Ballard; Public Safety Director, Scott Newman; Police Chief, Michael Spears and Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi.
No television stations carry the news. The Black owned "newspapers" the Indianapolis Recorder and Indiana Herald don't carry the story. Unlike other Starbuck's, many politicians and Magic Johnson and Howard Shultz were at the opening. Pierre told Police Chief Micheal Spears in a letter two days before Thanksgiving who he thought was doing the robberies. (impd)Police took no action-the store was robbed twice and the young workers were traumatized-and the store closed sooner than scheduled. Young barristas out of work.
Have you noticed there is less police presence in Indiana as a whole. Only time i see them is on I-65 doing 70 in a 55. I see semi trucks with hazmat going through downtown (illegal) and nobody challenges them. This is a threat of safety to all who drive downtown. How can Indianapolis get a SUPER BOWL if it has potential homeland security threats like this. But, of course you will hear about Indiana being low on money. How about collecting revenue from the 90 mph drivers between Indy and Chicago
