His girlfriend was a heroine addict, he didn't want to be with her anymore and she became obsessive compulsive towards him and killed herself due to the fact that he didn't want her anymore. She was found dead with a needle in her arm.

Ok...nowhere in the song whatsoever does he say "Within The Fire"....It goes "End your grief with me, There's another way, Release your life, Take your place *Inside The Fire* with her". What I THINK is going on now is that you're mistaking the end part of "Inside The Fire with her" and thinking he says "Inside The Fire Within". That is wrong and I just cleared that up.
