I'm glad to see this tradition is still alive with the Marching Chips. Just remember, there's a (Toledo) Rocket launch set for 8 p.m. tonight at 325 W. Maple. Bring your own fuel!

This a great yesteryear tradition that still stands. It has only been altered by the fact that tree has been moved now due to the expansion of Rose Arena. I believe that the tree is now at the pond on the Northeast side of the Stadium about 300 yars north of the locker room. Traditions cant be broken completely. Thats whats so great about CMU!

where is this tree?

The tree was next to Rose arena when this video was made...however, with the expansion of Rose, as of Fall '09, the tree location has moved to the top of the hill next to the pond. The rock with the engraved plaque is there as well now.
