TebowTime Is Over! Patriots Destroy Broncos 45-10! 49ers Stun Saints 36-32! Is Alex Smith Elite Now?

Patriots Defeat Broncos 45-10

Patriots advance to AFC Championship

Big nights for Brady, Gronkowski in 45-10 rout of Broncos

As the New England Patriots' preparations for last night's AFC Divisional round game against the Denver Broncos began to wind down on Thursday, there were some curious happenings at Gillette Stadium: Bill Belichick was downright chipper in his pre-practice press conference; after practice, defensive captain Jerod Mayo admitted that he felt he and his teammates were better prepared for their second meeting against Tim Tebow and the Broncos.

Mayo's words echoed ones spoken a day earlier by offensive lineman Brian Waters.

It isn't often that the Patriots tip their hand, even slightly. But the comments of Waters and Mayo, Belichick's sunny disposition, and a generally upbeat feeling in the locker room on Thursday all pointed to a confident club.

Confidence became dominance Saturday.

New England ended the Cinderella season of Tebow and the Broncos with a 45-10 victory, a wire-to-wire win that sends the Patriots into the AFC Championship game next Sunday against either Baltimore or Houston.

Quarterback Tom Brady threw for 363 yards, an NFL postseason record-tying six touchdowns, and had one pretty nice punt, while Tebow completed just nine passes and was basically running for his life for much of the night.

49ers Defeat Saints 36-32

Coach Jim Harbaugh roared in unison with the Candlestick Park crowd Saturday as Alex Smith and Vernon Davis combined on one of the best winning touchdowns in the 49ers history, if not the NFL's.

With that 36-32 win over gunslinger Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, the 49ers (14-3) advanced to the NFC Championship game for the first time since the 1997 season.

If the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers beat the New York Giants next Sunday in Lambeau Field, that is where the 49ers will play next Sunday. If the Giants win, Candlestick Park will host the 49ers' encore, also on Jan. 22.

  • @indianapoliscolts399 I'm ALL Philadelphia Eagles 4 minutes away from the Linc. I was just rooting for Tebow because it's a good story. But I would never route for him over the Eagles, thats just the way it's gotta be lol.

  • @TheUniverse101 I meant take over the Broncos in the terms of taking the realm at the QB position. As for the "Fairtail Bible" which contains the Word of God in it be careful what you say. Ask God to reveal himself to you and he will, he holds himself back from no man. People fear what they don't understand and defend what they can't answer, I guess that's just a theory of man.

  • LOL.... Tim Tebow..... You are my nigga foreal, for life...

  • @tensecLT1 to bad you havent won since gettn caught cheating ! so really ,.. how many have you really won ? thanks for the 2 superbowl wins ! 18-1 ...ouch ! still hurts hahahahahahah

  • @tensecLT1 All that and yall still sorry.Look man.Like I told some other dude/female whatever, talk to me when the Patriots win the"SuperBowl".

  • @1xoirc hahahah yeah can't win the big game.... yet we have 3 rings in 11 seasons.... and 5 trips to the SB. name ONE team that has that many rings OR trips in the last 11 seasons..... Oh yeah you can't....

  • @NYgiantsBEATpackers Haha your hilarious dude!!! 8-8 teams arent the best!! Just casue u guys won the Sb dosnt mean your the best team

  • @tensecLT1 Look here little boy.I know both my teams lost. The fact of the matter is,the Patriots can't win big games that count!.The"Show"the"SuperBow"yall can't even win that. And yes I agree if Wes would of caught that ball,it would of been a different outcome. But you mention my two teams is irrelevant. As you can see by this video, the focus is on the sorry Patriots. And all this talk about"Swing on other teams dicks"sounds gay.People have to choose a team in the"SuperBowl"to go for you idiot.smh

  • @1xoirc okay falcons got straight run this season. got HANDLED by the Giants BAD. Don't even get me started about the Steelers. Cause you and I both know how THEIR season ended. As far as doing anything against the Giants, the ball just didn't bounce our way. They fumbled THREE times, and not ONE was recovered by the Pats. Welker lead the league in receptions but drops the one single pass that would have very likely SEALED that game. My team was IN the show. I don't swing on other teams dicks.
