besides just using fraps for recording, I have EVGA Precision running in the top center to show gpu temps & fps while recording with fraps. and plan on doing this for the rest of other videos i make. ty.

Playing Counter strike source.

OK, well its been awhile and since then I have purchased COD4, The Sims 3, & Counter Striker Source.

And today is a CS:S game play footage and photos. Not long but enough to show how the game plays.
The usual specs:
2.53Ghz clocked to 2.88Ghz, 6gb ram, GTX260m 1gb.

game settings maxed, AA x 8, Texture filtering x 16.

(surprisingly weird, when playing with no AA i get less frames, and more fps with 8XAA, but have not tried with the full 16XAA i believe it is, another day i will)

I am not the best of CS:S that is for sure, been playing since saturday and have alot to learn still. Although, I like that its challenging, and honestly have a bit more fun then playing COD4, but I am still waiting for COD MW2..

so yeah again with fraps recording i get under 70fps. but without fraps my frame rate varies from 60fps to 120+ fps, not to sure my exact spike i have. Game plays very fluently and lots of fun. woohooo!!

uhm doesn't the RX05 have 4gb of ram and a 2.0ghz processor while it's the G71GX-A1 that has 6gb? Correct me if I'm wrong

@LtBobby123 the G71GX-RX05 model sold at best buy had 6gb ram w/ 2.6GHz on the cpu overclocked to 2.8,, the A1 models had differnet options i believe! not to sure, its a real long time that i looked it up!

well for one when i bought this computer i needed games to play... and secondly i have never played counter strike source or the ones before, so i figured i purchase it and play it. and i can simply answer your question as because the laptop can play anything!

no need as i use fraps. i get 45-200fps in game. it plays well
