Acer H5360 viewing experience

Acer H5360 viewing experience with different environment light.
For excellent viewing quality, it has to be quite dark. But isn't this a requirement for all beamers?
(you may notice a slow framerate, but this is a side effect of my video camera)

How much did you pay for the thing? I live next door, in Germany, trying to find a cheap seller. There are a bunch of sellers charging only 499 Dollars for it, but they ship only to the US (the bastards). German online stores sell it for more than 500 Euros ...

Are you happy with the beamer all together?

One thing that's rather important for me is the "true blackness" - as in, the blacks are actually black and not grey/too bright. I heard there's a "dark cinema mode" that makes the lamp go down to about 900 Lumen. That should do the job ... ?

@Hirnduebel Yes I'm very happy with this beamer. I use it on a BeaMax screen as you can see on my other video.

The blacks are perfect, and not too grey. The beamer has multiple modes, but i don't know if it goes down to 900 lumen.

Hey Roel... Alles goed? Mag ik je wat vragen? Klopt het dat je je ps3 gewoon direct via HDMI op de Acer kan aansluiten en dan direct 3D beeld kan beamen? Hoe ziet het eruit op je muur? Ik kan het zelf wel zien maar ik hoor liever van jou of de kleuren en het 3d effect goed tot zijn recht komen!? Kun je mij dat aub melden? Thanks

@wolfyness ik weet niet hoe de ps3 hiermee omgaat. De beamer kan overweg met active shutter brillen, dus als de ps3 dat ondersteunt dan werkt het. 3d heb ik nog niet geprobeerd, maar de kleuren zijn echt heel mooi. Zelf heb ik nu een scherm gekocht, en je merkt wel dat de kwaliteit er nog beter door is geworden.

@roelonline according to a review on projectorcentral com it goes down to both 974 and even 623 lumen (although 623 might be a little too low, but probably good in terms of lamp-durability)

I'm gonna use my wall, it's perfect 4x3 meters, and I can go back up to 8-9 meters. It's a white, texture-less wall. But I could also spraypaint it to a different color. :D I heard black could look good as well.
