  • i find it hard to believe there are a million people stupid enough to buy this piece of shit, its probably slung in their garages or junk cupboards now,and tommy walsh having his say as well, talk about the blind leading the blind

  • Lol, the mortar is supposed to be packed into the holes as you push the brick down on the bed. This wall would be weak as hell. You need a bigger bed than 10mm before you put the brick down to work it down to the line, too. You can't just place it there and expect it to be perfect, lol!

  • @Sionnach1601 Have you ever seen a real brickie build a wall ? The bricks are laid to a tight line, either old way of cornering up or corner profiles. When you spread the mortar with your trowel you leave a much bigger bed than you need. When you lay the brick ,you push gently down to line and the excess mortar is trowelled off and placed on the end of the brick making the joint for the next brick.

Now obviously, building a house will entail more than just laying bricks n blocks in perfectly straight even lines.

But I have to point out, that U have upped the stakes to extensions & houses, which is quite a step up from Ur earlier blanket criticism saying "If your that bad you have to resort to this thing..."

U can't deny the thing makes sense. It's just plain, simple physics. Plain simple systemization.

Systemization is everywhere in our world.

Sorry 4 the delay in answering.

Danny anywhere it is needed to lay a perfectly vertically straight column of bricks/blocks, the Bricky can do it. It's systematic. It's a precision engineered tool, like many manual labour tools.

However, if it is being used TOTALLY IMPROPERLY, as in excessive force being used on it, like any tool, there's going to be error.

But God Man, in the hands of someone who's got even half a clue, it's usefulness & efficiency would be unrivalled.

Well fair enough buddy if U can, and fair play to U too! That's a good thing.

I don't mean to sound like an arch critic, so please forgive just 2 considerations.

I've seen vids of 'champion' brick layers laying with lots of speed. But I would just wonder as to the actual uniformity of mortar layed between individual bricks. I'm sorry but I couldn't imagine it still coming close to that offered by a SYSTEMATIC way like the Bricky.

You say 2.5 times faster...faster than what though?

  • bet the chinese wish they had this when building the great wall

  • @Sionnach1601 maybe thats the way they do it overseas but here in australia, I do it about 2.5 times faster with no mess on the ground, thats how we teach our guys to lay bricks,...properly

  • just love the "bricky" - remember many a night coming in from clubbing and roaring with laughter at this lmfao

  • "Dude, whatcha got there?"

(cough) (HACK) (spit) "It's called, um, a Bricky."
