My first practise basket weave cake!!!

I made two basket weave cakes that weekend but only ended up finishing this one because I was leaving for canada for a wedding and I was only making these cakes to practice decorating and to try basket weaving.
How ever I am happy to say that I ordered the wilton"master tip set" of amazon where it was on sale and I ended up only paying 30$ including shipping :D so I have a lot more techniques to master now with all my new tips and I will hopefully be able to post videos of those cakes soon!!

Summer holidays started about a month ago because I graduated high school in may, but i havent had any ocasions to make cakes for so I can't wait to go to Norway in a couple of weeks, because people drop by almost every day so I can make cakes and not worry about nobody eating them hehe!!
Probably won't be able to post videos of every single cake but I will try to...

Do, a crumb coat chill it, then do a regular coat, then the basket weave

Do a crumb coat all around so you dont see any chocolate cake underneath...and then also pipe a line of icing around the top edge to hide more of the spots!

Not bad for a first time basket weave. The crumb coat is a good idea...another thing that could help is "suggesting" that you need a tilting turntable for your birthday or something. :D good job
