Ireland is one of the best places to surf in Europe. Remember, its a small island with large cliffs, large waves are inevitable.

  • Glad to see that even for surfers, they haven't lost their irish whiteness.

    right on, bra.

  • Well, good thing I'm not on the outside. I've surfed enough waves in my life- It's only second to simply being a good person and accepting your limitations with humility. Now that kind of forgiveness is ecstasy when you see the changes. Surfing has been around Ireland for quite a while. I'm from California- the next time I head to Ireland I'm bringing my board.

  • Good question. But as long as you're outside looking in, the god thing will seem a bit extraneous. One day it will grab you like the biggest, most wondrous wave, and then, then you'll know the real ecstacy.

Happy to hear about the waves at Lahinch. Has Ireland always had this great surfing or are the waves a new phenomenon?

  • I can't tell you how this lifted my heart. The power of God and the power of the big wave, riding along. This testimony will stay with me a long time.

    Maewynia
