  • That is because we tend to get short of breath pretty easily. I get winded simply walking down the street. Also my back and knees are bad due to the weight of my bones making walking even more tiresome. I want to grow old but I know my days are numbered.

  • I suffer from gigantism. I am 7 foot 3. Sadly I am not doing well. My spine and knees cannot support the weight of my upper torso. They said I would not live past forty but wonder of wonders I passed forty!

  • @SpartanOfAmerica1234 No human has ever been 9 feet.

  • Ok, I'm 4' 11" and will not grow anymore. I'd give anything to be tall like this.

  • what is the statstics with people with this condtion?

  • R.I.P Sandy Allen your were a beautiful unique person.

  • @Vrishchii could be sasquatchs XD

  • My second cousin (I think, maybe 3rd? Not sure) is 7'2"...I don't think he has any signs of acromegaly, but from what I understand, he can't do a lot of physical activities for very long, and so basketball was out of the picture for him. I don't think his circulatory system responded well to his increase in height, so he gets winded easily. My first cousin is about 6'6" and has no such issue...I'm only 6'2", but knowing the potential for such huge size in my family worries me (future kids?)

  • @hclfa4 well bunches of giant bones were found in the rockies. plus many native americans told me about the giant tribes that lived in caves (they were killed off). so its possible

  • LOL
