The future of the British film industry depends upon the people working in it. The quality of our people depend on the training and education they receive.
The Skillset Craft and Technical Skills Academy is an industry-led, industry funded scheme designed to meet industry needs; made possible through funding received from industry payments to the Skillset Investment Fund (SIF). The SIF contributes to the Skillset Film Skills Fund and is part of Skillset's A Bigger Future 2 (www.abiggerfuture2.co.uk), the UK Film Skills Strategy.
The Skillset Craft and Technical Skills Academy works closely with major UK studios and other film-based companies to develop industry-approved National Occupational Standards, qualifications & Apprenticeships in craft and technical skills.
