I have yet to see one of these subcompact guns in .45 ACP, despite it being listed on SIG's site.

I have the 250 in compact, the 9mm new in I think dec of 2011, I bought it new from cabelas, it has the flat spring with the plain 3 dot sights, I orderd the .357 slide xkit direct from Sig, it came with the round wire spring, and night sites. it also came with a new hand grip, also compact, I did not realize it would, but I guess I will keep it for a spare.

@TheYankeeMarshal That is odd indeed. I will look into that.

@HYBRIDCOMBATIVES I can't agree there because I have first hand experience with the frame sag issue on two different guns. Guns that started out with a straight dust cover and developed a very noticeable sag after a few hundred rounds. Only on full sized .40 models though.

@TheYankeeMarshal that "frame sag" thing is a myth. Those are intentional factory designed lines and angles. I have owned many SIGs to include 220s, 226s,229s and even the little 239. None of them would outshoot a M&P whether it be shot to shot splits,accuracy or reliability. Certainly not trying to argue as I respect your opinion and channel, but I have a lot of experience in this field and shoot ALOT. Striker fired guns have all but made hammer fired DA/SA actions outdated and unnecessary.
-
@TheYankeeMarshal durable, combat accurate, fast, prevalent, maintainable, repairable, customizable.... all things to add to that Glock list.
-
@TheYankeeMarshal indeed.

@TheYankeeMarshal I cant stand HK. Overpriced and outdated. For me a good barometer is what do you see in USPSA and IDPA winning matches. It isnt HK or SIG.

I had a compact in .40 & .357 for about a year and recently sold it. The quality of it was great and was a good deal for what it was, however I just couldn't get used to the trigger even though I shoot revolvers pretty regularly.

@HYBRIDCOMBATIVES It should overtake the Glock. I think the M&P is a slightly better gun than the Glock. Not only is it as reliable but I feel it has better features and is made from better materials (since the slides are stainless). Glock is functional and simple. Those are it's only real selling points. Luckily they are very important ones and many people appreciate those traits.
my vote is crapsandwich. High bore axis and dao are un-needed, outdated, and serve no purpose that hasnt been done over and over again. (HK and FN are examples). Glock and M&P far exceed this pistol in ergonomics, speed/trigger action, accessories etc.. market variety and collection drives these pistols into hands, not utilitarian function.

@HYBRIDCOMBATIVES H&K makes probably the best polymer pistols in existance, so comparing the SIG to them is not a bad thing IMHO. As for ergonomics, Glock gets tons of complaints from people. "They don't fit my hand" is the most common complaint I hear about Glock and I personally do not like the ergonomics of the M&P.
