    I'm wondering... since the device has such a short travel, wouldn't only one of the five outer sections need teeth? Also, how might you design the crank so that you can turn it, say, three complete revolutions to open/close the device?

  • @chrisshoeshine I have too. The Stargate in my basement i made from internet supplies just isn't working yet. I tried to squeeze the blueprints out of Orlin, but the whole "Brain is fried" thing got in the way. Oh well.
