Renny, my new puppy.

Officially, Reynold "Renny" Eutychus Shamgar Moore, this puppy is half boston terrier - half jack russell but favors the latter as you can see. We estimate his birth at the first week of Nov (I got him at 9 weeks old, shown here 11 weeks), and since my birthday is Nov.1, we decided to call it the same. Named after Reynold Bailey, a carribean student I knew in college who was one of the first people younger than me that I looked up to as a mentor and taught me/got me interested in how to play foosball. Shamgar is a Old Testament dude who "delivered Israel" (as in, saved) by slaying a huge number of Philistines with an ox goad. Eutychus is a New Testament dude who fell in two ways: asleep during a sermon, and then out of a 2+ story window shortly thereafter. Renny is pretty hyper but rarely makes a sound, lives in a nice cozy homemade dog-house with a high-watt bulb to warm it during the winter months, and has a fair-sized backyard and plenty of toys to scamper about with. He already knows how to sit or stand quietly as I hand him a treat without grabbing out of my hand.

Renny died today at age 5 after being delicately euthanized, in the presence of family up to the very end, to prevent further suffering from excessive fluid pressure/bloat that appeared within a few days. The loss was quite sudden and abrupt.

Hobbies included squirrel chasing, howling at passing ambulance sirens, and getting tangled up in the most complicated knot possible within mere moments of being tied up briefly for mowing the back yard. RIP
