Top achievers in last year's Kenya Certificate Of Secondary Education examination are celebrating following the release of the results by Education Minister Prof Sam Ongeri. David Ndung'u Gathuku of Mangu High School beat over 330,000 candidates who sat the form four national exam last year to emerge tops with a performance index of 87.267. Alliance High School also appeared to re-assert itself among the best performing schools after it produced 4 out of the top 10 candidates nationally and 9 out of the 10 best in central province. The performance also saw male candidates lock their female counterparts out of the top spots with the first female candidate coming in at number 11 nationally.
