Kato EMD E8 with MRC 1645 Sound Chip

I know your video has been out for a few years, but does the MRC 1645 chip control both the sound and the throttle through DCC? That chip is a lot more expensive than the other DCC chips I've seen, so I have to assume so. But I can't find anything definite in that the chip does both sound and throttle control. Any help?

Yes it does control both sound and throttle.

Are you having to hit a sound function key to trigger the brake squeel, or is that automatic when you stop? What about the air break release?

Sorry for the slow reply, I forgot the video was even out here. Brake squeal was triggered manually and the air break release as well, but sometimes it randomly happens.
