This past year, 24 first-year Social Welfare students from the UCLA School of Public Affairs spent 20 weeks researching and studying the stigmatization of the homeless in Los Angeles communities and helped formulate core messages in a public education campaign spearheaded by Los Angeles City Councilmember Bill Rosendahl's office. The centerpiece of the campaign was a 19-minute educational video produced by LA Cityview 35. Jennifer Ma-Pham, a 2006 graduate of UCLA's Master of Social Welfare (MSW) program, approached social welfare faculty member Toby Hur about the project idea for a social welfare course (Theory of Social Work Practice in Organizations, Communities, and Policy Settings), in which all first-year MSW students participate in community engagment projects.
This is a good project. Keep it up!

The way to end Homelessness in America is to place Homeless people in their own homes. Then Empower them to get a get an Education and get off of Drugs and Alcohol and the Health Care that they need. So they can get a good job and be Self Sufficient.

Great video! After having been homeless for two months, I thought that this was well done.
