Yes, it is possible to potty train a pet bird. It just takes patience and repetition. See this page http://x-evolutionist.com/how-to-potty-train-a-parrot-how-to-potty-train-a-co... for instructions. Here's my cockatiel, Pretty Penny, demonstrating that she is, indeed, potty trained. (My Website: http://x-evolutionist.com/ )

  • HIs feathers look messy.

  • @Fyralynn Penny has never had nice feathers. I actually adopted her because she looked so pitiful. She hardly ever has more than a couple tail feathers. X

  • I have just managed to have success with potty training my tiel - he has a HUGE morning dump. It's the first thing I do letting him out of his cage - I hold him over the trash and won't let him go anywhere. He now poops immediately on command. I am not having as much luck with my other tiels and cockatoo. However, this is great progress and it is really amazing. He also said pretty bird this week. LOL.

  • @wordgrrl71 I'm glad you are having success with your tiel! Good luck with your other birds. X

  • Impossible to potty train my bird. Not only odes he poop everywhere, but he walks through it and chews it up as well >.<

  • @darkstar0612 Thank you! Penny is a "white face" cockatiel, as opposed to having the orange cheeks that most cockatiels have. X

  • weve had our girl for about 8 months and she will not let anyone touch her. She came at about 2 months able to fly. Our boy was 1 month with his feathers clipped and not even 4 days after having him he would let him grab us. How long was it before your girl let you hold her?

  • Um, isent she sick? green poop is signs of sick birds
