  • What a gorgeous facility! It sounds that you have customer satisfaction prioritized by the changes you have made~ Perhaps they did not like the way you spelled your last name~ This is a travesty and needs to be overruled! US Congressional Leaders...we have faith that you will do the right thing here...This is Anti-American and unconstitutional~ Furthermore, they probably have somebody lined up who will be the recipient of the franchise handed to them on a silver platter for free~ God Bless!

  • I feel like Mr. Wagner has done everything asked of him regarding the building of this beautiful car dealership. You can clearly see that he puts his customers first and after all, isn't that what sustains a business? What GM is trying to do to this family-owned business is so wrong.

  • Rusty screwed up by building his store in BELLEVILLE. He made too big a deal trying to be this Belleville icon when GM clearly wanted this dealership located in O'Fallon off of the Hwy. 64 exchange. If he had built out in O'Fallon his company could have lasted another 90 years. Instead, they are going out of business soon and everyone of them will be unemployed in the middle of this horrible recession.

  • This is a travesty. Wagner Motor Cars has been a pillar of the Metro East business community for nearly 90 years. Every car I have ever bought has been a GM, because Wagner Buick embodied customer loyalty. If GM cannot even be trusted to honor a 90 year franchise agreement, what is to make me beleive they can be trusted to honor my warrantee. Unless they reverse this disgraceful decision, I don't feel I can continue to be a GM customer. Best wishes to the great folks at Wagner!

  • Everyone in Belleville knows the Wagner family name when it comes to sales and service. There is a lot of pride throughout the dealership knowing that everyone is part of an elite team. From Rusty to the cleanup people their #1 goal was the customer. That tradition started almost 100yrs. ago and still continues today. Gm definitely needs to go back to the table and reverse their decision. GM will be losing one of the Best of the Best. This move just doesn't make sense.

  • I was the service manager for Rusty Wagner for many years. He was by far the best employer I had ever worked for. The technicians always worked as a team when it came to repairing vehicles. The service department was always in the top 4 for Customer Service Satisfaction in our Zone. When GM had too much inventory they would call Mr. Wagner and want him to take more vehicles to help reduce GM's inventory. Mr. Wagner was always willing to help GM.

  • If you live or work within a 100 miles of Belleville IL its hard to say Wagner without also saying Buick. Wagner Buick.(1912)-then Wagner Buick-GMC(1992) then Wagner Buick- Pontiac GMC(2003)- in Belleville. GM needs to reinstate this dealership before they loose anymore loyal customers. Rusty Wagner has been loyal to GM, his customers and his employees as were his father, grandfather and great grandfather. The Wagner Family their customers and employees do not deserve this type of treatment.

  • The real story here is that GM required Rusty Wagner to spend millions of dollars to purchase land and build a new facility in order to obtain the Pontiac franchise which was required to be perfectly aligned by GM. Then without warning or regard to his commitment they rescinded all franchise agreements even though they were selling more new vehicles, had top CSI scores compared to other local peers and had the newest facility in the area. It just doesnt make any sense to anyone but GM.

  • Bought my first new car in 1969 from Wagner and have bought from them ever since. A dealership that has been in business since 1912 in the same community should not be eliminated. General Motors should use some common sense and reinstate this dealership for the good of community, customers and employees.

  • This dealership has served GM with loyalty and trust, dedicating themselves to the sales and service of GM products for almost 100 yrs. They have a loyal customer base who would like to continue to buy GM products from Wagner. However, many of them say they will never buy a GM product again if GM doesn't reinstate this dealership. Mr. Whitacre, you don't need to pass my letter to the Sales and Marketing Division for reconsideration, you can see for yourself what a great facility this is!
