EDIT: 6/3/10 The white, red, and yellow are actually called composite cables. Not component.

This is a pretty simplistic and hopefully clear tutorial on how to setup a Dazzle Capture Card with an Xbox 360. Subscribe if it helped.

Messages From Fresh~TechFilms: The F.A.Q.

-Q. What do I need?

-A. An Xbox 360 (or any game system); The Xbox 360 cable that has the white, red, and yellow outputs (or any game system with the white, red, and yellow cords); Audio/ Video cable splitters (A/V splitters); an RCA A/V double sided component cable; a computer/laptop; & The Dazzle Capture Card.

-Q. Where can I get these things?

-A. The cables can be bought at any Radio Shack, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc. (Some kind of electronics store). The cables ARE NOT INCLUDED with the capture card. The Dazzle Capture Card has to be ordered online. You'll need a credit, debit, or gift card to purchase it. You can view it at the following link:
http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Dazzle/Da...

-Q. How much does everything cost?

-A. The Dazzle Capture Card will range from $50-$120 depending on what kind you get and what software you get with it. The A/V splitters should range to about $3-$7 each. The RCA A/V double sided component cable can range from about $10-$20 depending on the length you need. Get cables that match the length required for your setup.

-Q. What's that weird Black Box? A VGA Box? WTF?

-A. A VGA Box is a video converter that allows the display of common analog video standards on a VGA computer monitor. It is used for people who want to use their game consoles, VCRs, and DVD players on a computer monitor rather than a TV. I do not use a VGA Box. The reason it's in this tutorial is because it had so many white, red, and yellow holes on it so you can clearly see what order the colors came in as an example. I only used the first set of white, red, and yellow holes on it. The same white, red, and yellow holes are on a basic TV. Just pretend it was a TV to avoid confusion.
