@mikedrawls41 oh come on! the kid was only 16 at the time!!!

I think the reference to Carl never missing a note was perhaps to his vocals. Yeah The Ed Sullivan guitar intro was pretty bad........ he was 14 give him a break
-
@BeachBoysGuy1 Carl never missed a note? Are you kidding me? You obviously haven't seen the Beach Boys' performance of "Wendy" on the Ed Sullivan Show...
-
I'd see so much Green Day doing that :O
-
@peterp21 go away.
-
@BeachBoysGuy1 Sure he did. Carl did not sound very good in 77 and 78. Due to chemical dependency issues, sure, but still - there are some "ouch" recordings out there.
Regardless, no need to discredit Al.

I was expecting Bon Jovi haha

@peterp21 I am sure not a day goes by when Brian's mis-spent years don't bother him, which makes it all the more important for him now to grab every day and squeeze the most out of it, creatively, which he seems to if his media profile is anything like accurate, condemning people for their addictions and addctive natures is like condemning breathing for making imperfect lives too long, and prolonging imperfection. True forgiveness comes with reparation,Brian does that every day as an artist.
Al was/is good. but CARL never missed note

Yes, actually none of them were perfect. Carl and Al were the best in person for me personally.Dennis was not the only one who drank. check out one of the Australian performances where Carl wa smashed. I heard bad and great notes from them all, which is why my favorite sound from them is as a group in harmony warts and all LOL
They were human
