I remember nice, kind people and beautiful neighborhoods and great FOOD and hospitality.
Houston and TEXAS has a great sense of community...great memories

Temperate climate my ass! I lived in Houston for years. Worst weather I've ever seen. Unbearably hot and humid in the summer, and then it flash floods almost every day, destroying my car. Some fine folks and GREAT food though. I'd kill to have a Taco Cabana where I live, and that's saying something!

Is the amphitheatre still in Herman park? Many a few years since I lived in Houston and spent many enjoyable summer evenings sitting on the banks of the amphitheatre listening to free concerts by the Houston Symphony Orchester....I have had a love affair with Houston for many, many years and think of it often!
