Chillin' with Robert Plant

Back in 1982, I didn't own a good 35mm or video camera, so I took my crappy 8mm film camera and bought a crappy 35mm instamatic.

These pictures and the 8mm films are all I had, along with a small cassette recorder that I could fit in my shirt pocket. Here is one of the times I recorded. This is at the Queen's Head Pub near Kidderminster.

The reason I haven't posted this prior to now, is that I'm embarrassed at how stupid I sound on the recording.

So, why am I posting it now? Mainly because I've enjoyed this all by myself for all these years and I think it's time to share it with the rest of the world.

I see that there are still hard-core Zeppelin fans out there, even today - well, this is for all you Zep fans who thought there were no more gems to find. This is from my personal recording, so, with the exception of two copies I made for two girls who went with me, no one else has this recording.

By the way, I remember this BEAUTIFUL girl walks in and sits at the bar. Eventually, I made my way to get a closer look-n-see. She was slender, about 5'-5" wearing this tight-fitting black dress with an entire tiger image across the front of the dress. Then I notice a faint scar above her eyebrow (like the Harry Potter lightening bolt) and then I realize.... That's Maureen Plant!!!! (remember their car accident in 1975 Rhodes Greece?). OMG, I had only seen Maureen in TSRTS, but the movie did not do her any justice, she is HOT in person. Enjoy the recording!

I tried to make the words appear at the same speed as what is being said. Use the [pause] button to stop the subtitles when it's too fast to read.

I don't want to post the little boys name, but he is Robert's nephew.

i was lucky enough to be working for ian anderson from jethro tull .. as a goffer in the early 80's masion rouge recording studios fulham london .. and robert plant was recording an interview .. with alan freeman !!! i took them in a cup of tea !!! (rock an roll) ... and robert plant had a chat with me !!! ... i will never forget what a great guy he was ...... x

i was cooking at a restaurant in Indiana in 1993 or so , and one of the waitresses said 'come looka t this longhaired dude with an accent , he looks familiar " . I went out and there was Robert Plant having a beef Manhatten . I almost shit myself . But he was very cool , said he was going to Louisville from Cincinnati , and prefferred to go by car , as the country reminded him of home .He gave the waitress a hundred dollar bill as a tip , and was as nice and courteous as he could be

cool audio....I met Robert in 1995 after a Plant Page show in a Birmingham Michigan pub... he was at the bar so I went up and chatted him up... he was teasing around with me because of the way I approached him and having fun at my expense but it was cool because he was very charming and conversational...cool guy
