I'm a republican, but as a libertarian conservative, I admit my own party is screwed up because of the republican establishment, and I think we should have less government and personal freedom.

@TheWordsNotSpoken Our platform on LP.org talks alot about freedom or much like liberals. If you want the fiscal constraint Libertarian side I would refer you to Milton Friedman Libertarianism parts 1-4. Goes deep into cuts into the federal government. But remember to keep an open mind and that the EPA, FDA etc. are bought and paid for by corporations. If we can abolish the protectors of the corporations it will enable interested people with independent studies.

I think the "extreme restrictions" are referring to gun rights, and the "increase national debt" is via war on terror, drugs, etc.

@207nl I'm doing research on this subject in order to find out where i stand. I want to know whether I am closer to being a democrat or libertarian. So far i haven't been able to fin a strait answer to my question. So, If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me why you hold the economic beliefs you do, or point me somewhere you believe sufficiently explains your position?
