The government should pay for people who choose not to work. People who work should pay a large tax? A more decent society?
You sir cant be this stupid. You are a troll, I hope.
The gov't should not pay for people who choose not to work, that is a financial sinkhole. Then if in this utopia you suggest, people who actually go out to work, who go create businesses should NOT be heavily taxed because these are the people stimulating the economy and paying for lazy workers. Your society would....

Also, strict regulations on the market creates inefficiencies that result in an increase in the cost of a good/service. They also limit the choice available to the consumer.

We do not even have enough money to continue paying for our largely public healthcare system. Rationing is occurring in the form of extremely large wait times for service. Our government is currently nearing bankruptcy, yet you want it to spend MORE? and you want it to DECREASE the tax base (# of people that can be taxed)?
You have a fundamental lack of understanding of economics and politics. Your system will result in the collapse of any society within which it is implemented.

If people are guaranteed to have enough to live "decently", they will have NO incentive to work. Actually, you are giving people an incentive to quit their jobs with your huge taxes on people who actually generate the wealth in society. These people will just move to countries where they can make a living. With all of the productive members of society gone, and the rest of the people taking welfare, where do you hope to get the money to pay for welfare.

It will never work. What incentive does the "working man" have to even go to work? Why should the "working man" have to support people that are lazy and just don't feel like working?!?! Where is the government going to get the money to support all the lazy people when the "working man" and the companies go elsewhere? What then? It will crumble before it even starts. Besides, too much govt is not a good thing. When the govt starts giving hand-outs, you lose your ability to have and make choices.
