A tutorial on how to tie the end knot on the ura (inward facing when worn) side of the tsuka. I used the shoddy red ito because I figured it would be easier to see than all of the dark colors I had laying around.

Go to Tsukamaki.net for great information on tsukamaki! Thomas L. Buck has provided a great resource. ^_^

  • I'm so glad I watched this. I've been using the push tools all along, your pull tool is soooo much better.

  • Thomas L. Buck's pull tool! ^_^ I just like using it, too. Much less of a chance of damaging the ito, too.

  • ...excellent! - I need to replace my ito on one of my katanas... thanks! :+]
