Buddy, coming from a Mechanics mouth. You bought one of the worst Mercedes Benz's that Mercedes made..why do you think they stopped it?

Actually, they did not stop it... It was discontinued only in the USA. They were producing it in Germany until they started manufacturing a new C class in 2008.

Yes the new car is nearly perfect. (Although no match to Volvo S80.) To be honest, I just like their 3-pointed star. It was my dream from the childhood to drive one. But the C230 shown on the video was a real disaster - second worst car I've ever had, just next to 1986 soviet-made Lada which I was unfortunate enough to own when I lived in the UK 15 years ago.

its gotta be something with the engine management computer thats not letting it fire right away, on your other vids it seemed to start right up after the first crank was unsuccessful. Sounds like a spark/timing issue, maybe 1 or 2 cylinders are not getting the right spark command from the ECU. I would think Mercedes would def re-flash your computer so it would default any screwed up commands the computer is sending to the engine.

They did it... they tried every little thing we could think of... and nothing would work.

So what did they do after you showed them this video? How can they dispute that? You should go to a news agency or something, or put posters up around the dealer saying that their dealer is horrible. You never know, putting up posters and spreading the word about the dealer may be theraputic and put your stress level down a little bit knowing others wont buy from there.

They say "you must have put a cheap dirty gas in it". Actually, I was only using Shell, Mobil, and Sunoco, and only premium grade. Anyway, I traded it in for a new C300 and am very happy with it.

What if I told you that maybe we could start the ball rolling towards honesty about the seriousness of car problems, without the need to drive the "problems" into other peoples driveway.

i have owned mercedes all my life, never had a lemon one, until i got my W203 C Class, worst car i have ever owned.... proabably because it was built in USA instead of Germany like the rest of the model range. Sold it and purchased an E280CDI and its fantastic, never had one issue with it.... i agree the W203 was a horrible car for mercedes, as they implemented many new technologies which didn't work out they way they should have.

american cars are more reliable than this piece of shit of a car company. their glory days are gone

they make u buy premium gas, expensive maintenance, hard to diagnose even by their own dealers. they make u kiss their filthy asses ! i hear of hundred thousand dollar brand new cars having problems right of the bat! just a simple thing as that drain system in front of the windshield was poorly designed (1997c230)and it accumulates crap and starts to clog after a while. STUPID STUPID STUPID !!!!
