New Jersey SREC update

Many states, including New Jersey, offer SREC's, or Solar Renewable Energy Certificates. They are tradable certificates that represent the clean energy benefits of the electricity generated from your solar electric system. An SREC can be sold or traded separately from the power. As of July 2011, each New Jersey SREC is valued at $470 and for every 1,000kwh your solar power system produces, you will be issued one SREC.
