The sad fact is that the Murray Darling Basin system simply does not have the water to release down stream. As much as everyone wants freshwater, it is seawater or no water. Fortunately, seawater has been a natural part of the Lower Lakes for tens of thousands of years. All we need to do is open the Barrages and let in seawater to return the lakes to health. Google "lakes need water" to learn the facts.
