  • @lipps6333 You have a lordosis of the spine. Your back is not neutral while doing the exercise.You should tighten your abs when you do deadlifts and search for info how to remove the problem.

  • @BGMilenium Interesting, no one has ever told me this before, but it makes complete sense. I do have strong abs, but from my pole vaulting background it is difficult to change my muscle structure. I appreciate the insight though and I will work on that.

  • Your knees should be bent at about 15 deg in order to properly engage the glutes & hamstrings. Not doing that puts excessive strain on the lower back.
