Regarding the clustering of society, honestly, you could look at this two ways. You could say this is how it's always been. I believe the internet/digital age is helping to allow individuals to step outside their society clusters and experience other interests. But I also think a segment of America is hiding behind the internet and not getting into the outside world.

I hope to use Youtube to reach an audience with interests like mine and hopefully we learn from it all.

Selfishness.

There is so much that caters to what I want, and when I want it, that I only have to experience a very narrow perspective.

Events that bring us out of our comfort zone and expose us to new perspectives are scary.

We don't in general, do "Scary".

We constantly preach "personal peace", which obviates stretching horizons. I say disaster and reconstruction heterogenizes, rather than homogenizes, societies. We are forced to elvolve or die.
